Scholarship Description
The Institute offers awards for postgraduate students whose research projects are associated with nuclear science, or its applications, and require access to the unique national facilities at the Lucas Heights Science and Techbnology Centre. Research Supplements are the principal form of award and are offered to scholars who are (or will be) in receipt of an APA or equivalent scholarship. The award also provides $5500 pa for costs involved in using the facilities and services at Lucas Heights. Certain travel and accommodation costs to enable students to work at Lucas Heights are also provided. Candidates for an AINSE award must be nominated by the university where PhD enrolment is held before 30 June of the year of application.
Payment Information
The value of this scholarship is AUD7500 (per annum). This award is to be used for living expenses. This scholarship is paid annually.

This scholarship is for one of the following fields of research: Atomic & molecular phys; nuclear & particle phys;plasma phys.
Eligibility
This scholarship is for study in Australia or New Zealand. There are no restrictions on citizenship.

Swinburne University Postgraduate Research Awards offer a non-taxable indexed stipend of around $20,400 p.a. and a tuition fee scholarship (total value: around $40kp.a.) for up to three years for doctoral studies and two years for Masters by research. Relocation assistance and thesis preparation assistance are provided. Open to both local and international students.

Chancellors Research Scholarship (CRS)
The Swinburne University Chancellor’s Research Scholarship (CRS ) is the University’s premier research award. They are awarded to students of exceptional research potential to undertake a higher degree by research (HDR). The successful applicants will become members of a research team working under the direction of senior researchers.
The awards provide an annual stipend of $30,000, an Establishment Grant of up to $3,000 and up to $5000 for a 6 month overseas placement in a collaborating laboratory or organisation nominated by Swinburne. This overseas placement is a condition of the award. The scholarship also covers tuition fees.
