Harold ja Olga Fox stipendirahastossa on perustettu ansiosta viime testamenttilahjoituksen jäämistöstä professori Harold Foxin Biologiset tieteet opiskelijoille.
Me annetaan yksi Scholarship vuodessa ulkomaille (koko maksullisessa) hakevat opiskelijat kandidaatin tutkinto-ohjelma biologian, Environmental Biology, Genetiikka, Human Genetics tai Eläintiede. The Harold and Olga Fox Scholarships will pay £5000 towards overseas fees in each of the three years of the Scholar’s course, sovelletaan tyydyttävällä akateemista edistymistä.
To apply for one of these Scholarships you must hold an offer of admission to study towards one of our 3-year undergraduate BSc degrees.
To apply for one of the Scholarships please submit with your application:
* Koko Curriculum Vitae
* Covering letter in your own handwriting explaining why you wish to study at UCL.
* Essee Englanti (approximately 1000 sanat) on any biological subject of your choice (eg. The importance of Biology in the 21st century.)
Email entries are not permitted.
Entries will be awarded according to academic merit. The committee’s decision is final. The deadline for applications is 15th July (or the first working day following the 15th if the deadline falls on the weekend) for entry in September of the same year. The result will be announced in August.

Harold Fox completed his PhD thesis, “Development of the skull and associated structures in Amphibia with special reference to the Urodela,” Vuonna 1951, in the Department of Zoology and Comparative Anatomy, under the supervision of Dr. Michael Abercrombie. Harold remained in the department for the rest of his working life until 1994.
Amelia ZÖLLNER IPPR / UCL Työharjoittelu palkinto perustettiin vuonna 2007 muistoksi UCL opiskelija Amelia ZÖLLNER.
IPPR ja UCL yhteistyön rahasto vuotuinen c. 3 kuukauden Lontoossa IPPR Työharjoittelu varattu viime UCL valmistunut – kuin ponnahduslautana toimivat politiikan tai politiikan. Harjoittelun yleensä toteutetaan lokakuusta joulukuuhun, mutta voi tapahtua milloin tahansa vuoden.
IPPR pyrkivät aloittamaan 2008 Amelia ZÖLLNER IPPR / UCL harjoittelun kesäkuun alussa 2008.
Kelpoisuusehdot
Hakijoiden on lopullinen vuoden UCL opiskelijat, noin valmistumassa (Alemman, Masters tai tutkimuksen tutkinto) kaikilla alueilla, kiinnostuneita ja innostuneita politiikan ja politiikka, ajankohtaisohjelmat ja sosiaalisen oikeudenmukaisuuden, ja työn IPPR, sekä innostuneita politiikan tutkimus.
Hakijat voivat tulla mistä tahansa maasta, vaan on pystyttävä työskentelemään UK (UK / EU: n kansalaisten tai voimassa oleva työlupa).
Hakijoiden on oltava jonkin verran tutkimus taidot, ja on sitoutunut tavoitteisiin IPPR halusta rakentaa oikeudenmukaisemman, demokraattisempi ja ympäristön kannalta kestävää maailmaa.
Valintaperusteet
Palkinnot tehdään IPPR, perusteella akateemisia saavutuksia, Tutkimuksen taidot, kokemus, ja intohimo. Taloudelliset olosuhteet ehdokkaita ei oteta huomioon.
Arvo: Edut ja kesto
Palkinto koostuu IPPR harjoittelun enintään kolme kuukautta. Vastaanottaja Amelia ZÖLLNER IPPR / UCL Työharjoittelu palkinnon saavat korkeampaa) £ 5000 tai b) vastaa nykyisen IPPR palkka ajaksi harjoittelun.
ZÖLLNER IPPR / UCL intern perustuu Lontoon toimistossa IPPR, ja on sama työsuhde-etuuksista ja velvollisuuksista muuta IPPR intern, myös kuukausimaksut, palkallisia lomia (6.5 päivää 3 kuukauden työharjoittelu), maksaminen National Insurance ja veroja, ja koulutus-ja kehittymismahdollisuuksia klo IPPR tapahtumia.

Professori Denys Holland, jonka muisti Denys Holland rahasto perustettiin lahjoituksilla hänen oppilaansa, oli seurallinen, myötätuntoinen ihminen.
Oikeustieteen professori ja dekaani Opiskelijat, Yksi hänen periaate koskee oli hyvinvointi ja täyttää oppilaiden omalla hoito. His admissions policy for the Faculty of Law aimed at a broad range of students who would enter fully into college life. Professor Holland took a keen and continuing interest in his students’ extra-curricular activities as well as their academic progress.
The Denys Holland Scholarship aims to support undergraduate students from any country, who would be unable to study at UCL without financial help, and who can demonstrate their intention to make full use of the activities offered by UCL and the Student Union.
Kelpoisuusehdot
Applicants should be
* Holding an offer of admission to UCL for full-time undergraduate study in any department;
* In financial hardship, and be able to demonstrate that without the scholarship they would be unable to study at UCL;
* preferably aged 25 or below at the time of commencing their studies;
* Able to demonstrate that they have broad interests and intend to be actively involved in and contribute to the life of the College;
Valintaperusteet
Scholarships are awarded on the basis of financial hardship, subject to applicants demonstrating their intention to play a full part in extra-curricular activities of UCL and the Students Union.
Arvo: Edut ja kesto:
The scholarships are worth £9,300 (= 2007/08 rate) vuodessa, subject to an annual inflationary increase. Scholars may choose to use all or part of the scholarship to cover fees. Any remainder is paid to the scholar as a maintenance stipend.
Scholarships are for one year in the first instance, but will be renewed subject to satisfactory progress, for up to a total of three years.
The Scholarship may be held alongside other grants, apurahoja, palkinnot ja apurahat, provided annual total funding does not exceed the cost of fees plus a reasonable sum for maintenance in any one year.
Applications Deadline and Procedure
Applicants will be required to detail their current outside interests and indicate areas of non-academic activity which they would hope to pursue while a student. They will also have to provide information on their financial circumstances and other sources of income being sought.
Candidates must apply for admission to UCL through UCAS (www.ucas.ac.uk) and submit the completed UCL Denys-Holland Scholarship Application Form by the deadline.
IMPORTANT NOTE:
Potential candidates must ensure that they submit a full scholarship application by the deadline irrespective of whether an offer of admission to UCL has reached them or not. The UCL Scholarships Office will check – as part of the eligibility check of scholarship applications – whether the scholarship applicant holds an offer of admission to UCL. Scholarships applicants who have not applied for admission to UCL or who do not receive an admissions offer from UCL will be excluded from the competition.
Complete scholarship applications must be received by the UCL Scholarships Office no later than 1st August before the start of the relevant academic session.
Late or incomplete applications will not be considered for funding.
