UCL Faculty Undergraduate Scholarships for Excellence aim to promote and reward academic excellence among current UCL students.
There are a total of 18 scholarships per session for the academically most outstanding first- and second-year undergraduate student at each of the eight UCL Faculties, as well as the School of Slavonic and East European Studies.

Eligibility Requirements
Candidates must be
* enrolled for undergraduate study at UCL.
Selection Criteria
Scholarships are awarded on the basis of academic excellence. Financial circumstances are not taken into account.
Value: Benefits and Duration
The scholarships consist of £3,000, payable in the following academic year, and are tenable for one year only. Scholarship funds may be applied to fees or paid out in three instalments payable at the start of each term.
Nomination Deadline and Procedure
There is no application procedure. All UCL undergraduates completing Year 1 and Year 2 will be considered.
The following instructions and forms are for the attention of Departments and Faculties. Students are not permitted to use these forms.
Departments must provide Faculty Offices with the details of their academically best first and second-year undergraduates. (Financial circumstances of the candidates must not be taken into account.) The Year 1 and Year 2 Departmental Nomination Forms must contain a reference and be accompanied by copies of transcripts from the current academic session for each of their nominees (copies must be single-sided only and provided on A4 paper).
Department nominations should reach Faculty Offices by 30 June.
The eight Faculties and SSEES will make the final selection from candidates nominated by the Departments within each Faculty. Each Faculty must provide the UCL Scholarships Office with the Faculty Nomination Forms, signed by Faculty Deans/SSEES Director, designating the best Year 1 and Year 2 undergraduates across the Faculty. The relevant Departmental nominations should be attached to the Faculty Nominations.
Final Faculty nominations must reach UCL Scholarships by 1 August. Submit faculty nominations to: UCL Scholarships, The Registry, UCL.
Notification of Results
Successful candidates can expect to be notified by mid/end September.
